Diwali
INTRODUCTION
DFW Indian Cultural Society (DFWICS), a not for profit organization under section 501(c)3, is organizing the Seventh Grand Diwali Mela on Saturday, November 3th 2012 at Cottonbowl Stadium, Fair Park in Dallas, Texas.
We would like to remind all our sponsors that more than 35,000 people attended the event in the first year in 2006. Attendance to the carnival has been very encouraging and we touched peak attendance of over 60,000 in past years and we are hopeful that this year we will touch close to 70,000 attendees. Besides the DFW area, we are expecting people from neighboring cities including Houston, Austin, Abilene, Little Rock, and Shreveport, Oklahoma City and from other cities on East and West Coasts to attend the event.
The location of the event at Cottonbowl Stadium, with its unique facilities gives an added dimension to the advertising exposure for our sponsors at all levels. The display of banners, live media coverage of the event, wide distribution of printed materials along with our radio and TV ads provide a unique opportunity for you to promote your products and services to a captive audience.
In addition to above benefits, most importantly, your sponsorship and support of this event contributes to a very worthy cause: the promotion and preservation of an important cultural heritage. The benefits will be proportionate to the level of sponsorships. The mela provides diverse entertainment for every age group. Some of the attractions in past years have been the Ram Lila, Ravan Dahan, Bollywood entertainment, Kids Corner, display of local cultural talents, laser show, and fireworks, both indoors and outdoors.
The mela also provides a unique shopping experience during this festive season. The food booths catering to varied tastes are an attraction. It is no wonder that our sponsorship and attendance continues to grow! The various sponsorship categories are listed below.
